Commercial Business Planning and Analysis Director
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop and refine short- and long-term financial forecasts
- Deliver actionable insights to influence executive decision-making and business strategy
- Translate complex data into clear recommendations for Product General Manager and leadership teams
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial performance reviews and support investor-related deliverables
- Drive integrated planning across sales and external costs with a focus on operational excellence
- Oversee full product profit and loss, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives
- Coach and develop Business Planning and Analysis team members to enhance performance and capabilities
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience in finance, consulting, or corporate strategy, including financial planning and project management
- Proven experience in Commercial Business Planning and Analysis
- Familiarity with SAP systems and financial tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills with ability to present effectively to senior business leaders
Desirable Requirements
- Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry
Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:
The salary for this position is expected to range between $160,300 and $297,700.00 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
